Those We Help

Ride Rank for a Cure is dedicated to raising funds and providing services for individuals who are diagnosed with, had been diagnosed with or has an immediate family member who has been diagnosed with any type of cancer.

While Ride Rank for a Cure donates to other causes and events throughout the year through events and half and half drawings, we dedicate our school fundraising efforts to certain individuals and organizations. Our 2012 recipient is Tammy Hiser of Augusta, KS. Our past donations can be viewed by clicking the "Our Donations" link on this page. We hope you join us in our efforts to help make their lives a little easier and more enjoyable.

Austin Reddick is 21 years old and lives in Archdale, NC. He  was diagnosed with Leukemia for the third time in 2009. He underwent  treatments and is doing well. Austin, who is also a bull rider, was able to attend the 2nd Annual Ride Rank Bull Riding School in 2010.

Chad Stringfellow is 34 and lives in Cave Springs, AZ. He is a third generation rodeo cowboy and has competed in all three rough stock events. Chad is now battles a tougher adversary than he ever met in the arena: liver and colon cancer. Chad has had surgeries to remove his colon and part of his liver. Our goal is to help Chad continue his fight.

In 2010 Ride Rank for a Cure was able to raise funds and donate $800.00 to the Mid-Kansas Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. We hope to continue supporting breast cancer awareness and raising money to find a cure.

Kathy Caggiano is a single mom of five from Augusta, KS. She was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in 2010. Kathy had already begun treatments for her cancer before she found out that the testing alone had depleted her insurance.

Rank Bull Apparel challenged all Ride Rank for a Cure members to support Locks of Love and grow over ten inches of hair by November 2010. We are proud to say that 8 of our friends and board members donated to this amazing cause. We are planning to continue to "let our hair down" and donate to this cause.

Kim Jennings of Lakin, KS was diagnosed with lung cancer Easter of 2011. She and her husband have been an important part of the Kansas Professional Rodeo Association for many years. Although she appeared to be improving after seeking treatments in to Phoenix, AZ and Colorado, Kim passed away on January 19, 2012. The KPRA will continue to raise money to help her family during the 2012 season.

Locks
of Love
Tammy Hiser of Augusta, KS was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004. Since 2007 the cancer has returned in metastatic form in her brain, bones and liver. Tammy is currently receiving treatment for a new lesion on her brain. With four growing boys and a husband at home this has been a difficult time for the family. Tammy has been chosen as the 2012 recipient of the Ride Rank Bull Riding School.
