It's time to let your hair down and make a difference!
On January 16, 2010 Kim Galgon became our first Ride Rank for a Cure Locks of Love donor. What a great way to start the new year.
My name is Brandy and I am 33 years old. I live in Greenbrier, Arkansas currently and am most recently froom Arizona. My fiance was the one who was going to donate to Locks of Love and then his employer said he was not allowed to be anything but clean cut and shaven and hair no longer than above the collar. At the time he was going to do this, he asked me to do it with him and I agreed. I am finding that my heart is still weighing heavy to do this. I lost my mom from cancer a year and a half ago and my fiance has a friend who is young and has colon cancer stage 3 or 4. I am happy to help a cause that touches my heart.
Christy Johnson's daughter, Wichita KS, participated in the Locks of Love Drive on January 16, 2010. Cancer has affected their family greatly and it is people like this family who can make it bearable for those who are fighting!
Toni Rollins was inspired by the many stories she heard about Ride Rank for the Cure members who were donating to Locks of Love. She is very proud to support such a wonderful cause.
My name is Kayeloni, I am 22 years old and live in Allen Kansas. The reason I am donating my hair to Locks of Love is because I did it when I was 18 and it gave me such an amazing feeling knowing that I helped someone. I also got a picture of the little girl that got my hair and a letter from her and it gave me a feeling in my heart that I had never felt before. I applaud everything that the people at Locks of Love do. They give people of all ages hope for a brighter day. Thank you to all of you who are sponsoring Ride Rank for a Cure!!
