Erik Akkerman

Erik Akkerman attended Riverland Community College in Austin MN and earned a degree in Construction Technology. He started riding bulls in 2004 and started fighting bulls in 2007.  Erik both rode and fought and until 2009 when he switched his career to strictly bullfighting. While riding Erik was awarded the 2005 Circle C rodeo Senior Division Reserve Champion buckle, and has competed in Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, and Wisconson. As a bullfighter Erik has helped save bullriders in Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, and Kansas.  A dedicated Ride Rank and Team Austin bullfighter, Erik Akkerman hopes to attend several events and help raise awareness for these two great charities.
